Do you ever feel like you’re not in control of your life?
Do you ever feel like there is something deep within you holding you back from happiness?
Often we can be our own worst enemy in life, without even being aware of it.
This doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with you.
It simply means that you may have negative core beliefs that deeply affect you on a subconscious mind.
What beliefs are?
Believe is a feeling of certainty about a given topic. The belief system is the “software” of our lives that influences our decision-making and shapes our lives.
The beliefs we have adopted guide us every day and really trigger our actions. These are mostly subconscious thought processes that run in the background of our lives and we are not aware of them. They guide our lives from position of “rear seat”. The whole system is made up of individual processes often accepted on faith or accepted after being filtered by our other beliefs. We have beliefs about ourselves that are the “mothers” of all beliefs and are often the greatest source of our joy or our suffering. We also have beliefs about people, politics, money, love, etc.
Where our beliefs come from?
Our beliefs are often implemented into our minds by our family, friends, the media, or our social education. The strongest and most important beliefs in our life are the core (key) beliefs. These are the strongest and most ingrained beliefs in us. They arose at a time when we did not have the tools to recognise what is true and what is not. Most often they concern our identity. They are the result of childhood interpretations of certain significant experiences, most often repetitive ones, that become part of our identity.
What are types of our beliefs?
Beliefs can be empowering and limiting.
Empowering belief – I am an intelligent person. This confidence in your intelligence will make you learn better and quicker; you will achieve better results.
Limiting belief – I’m not good enough. I must be perfect in everything; I don’t deserve love.
How do you find them in yourself?
Beliefs can be identified by finding a problematic situations that you have tried successfully resolve. When you ask yourself- What does it say about me, that I am unable to change that situation? The answer may show you your limiting belief at the identity level.
Life doesn’t give you what you want, it gives you what you are. Don’t struggle with changing your habits, instead focus on changing your identity. Build an identity that allows you to go completely beyond the habit. Concentrate on acquiring a new identity. For example – I am 36 years old athlete. Then the habit of going to the gym becomes much easier. The athlete does not want to lie in bed whole day. So, first identity, then process and then result.
Only you have the strength and knowledge to identify your limiting beliefs that are sabotaging your life. You can also reprogram them into empowering beliefs. Choose what will make your life easier.
